I will admit, I did not drink or eat healthy on my trip at all! However, I can say that I have tried Popeye’s Chicken (better than KFC for sure), and Cherry Vanilla Coke (that stuff is like crack). I eat pretty healthy, so it was nice to take a short break! I’m back on track, drinking only tea and water (with lemon or lime) and loading up on fruits and veggies! M and I did quite a bit of walking (upwards of 7km a day), and did a hike at Brighton Resort that was beautiful!
I have gotten back to yoga, and I will be back to running on Monday! I felt lazy not running at lunch, but I think my body needs a bit of a break. No reason to hurt myself. I have decided to start using the Samsung Health app for the pedometre- it is making me really notice the division of my steps in the day. I set the target at 7,000 steps (down from 10,000). I don’t hold my phone when I run, so the 3,000 difference accounts for the steps of my run. It’s really reminding me to get up and move at work, which is never a bad thing! While I was in SLC, I decided to treat myself, and pick up a couple of exercise pieces!
1) Cotton Charged Burnout T, Under Armour
I found this at Nordstrom Rack for $10, and it is super comfy! I only wear it with my bathing suit top, because of the burnout it is see-through, but that is great for hikes and walks outside.

2) Speed Shorts, Lululemon
I can’t say no to Speeds, they are the perfect running short for me! I saw this colour and knew I had to have them (they weren’t ever released in Canada). I walk up to the register and find out they are only THIRTY NINE DOLLARS INSTEAD OF FIFTY FOUR. They could not be more perfect.

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

Those shorts are so so cute!! And good on you for recognizing when your body needs a break! 🙂
Aren’t they?? And I used to struggle with that, I felt like I should be doing more. But the body needs to recover, and who am I to argue??
