This blog is based on WordPress (.com), and it does use cookies (to function like websites do), but they aren’t storing your personal information. If you do leave a comment, WordPress stores your Gravatar name and picture, IP address, your email address, and the comment itself. Therefore, leaving a comment is considered a definite intention, as defined by the GDPR giving me consent to store this information, and permission to contact you in the future! It will not be sent to or shared with any third parties. (I don’t have an email list, so I won’t be sending any errant emails, either!)

If you do wish to have your personal information deleted, please either use my Contact Me page or send me an email at, and I will work with WordPress to have it deleted!

Finally, if at some point if I do have sponsored posts (or include affiliate links), it will be clearly labelled as such!

Until tomorrow,
The Historian
