Although my room never looks it, organisation is the key to life. (I am slowly getting my room more organised, but that is a bigger project!) In the past year, I have found myself getting more and more organised. With work, volunteering, Junior Circle and 85th, the blog, and general life, I need to stay on top of things. I find fun office supplies make adulthood a little bit easier- we all need a little whimsy in our lives! What do I use?
1. 2016 17-month medium Agenda- Quick and Curious, Kate Spade
I decided to stick with the medium sized planner from Kate Spade. The first year of their release, I went with the large sized planner- it was just too bulky and heavy to actually use. However, the medium size is perfect. People were really upset this year that there were no quotes on the front page of each month, but I don’t particularly care, to be honest. It has a 2 page spread of 2016-2017 mini-monthly calendars, Celebrations- pages to write down birthdays and events for each month, a Notes section, and then the monthly sections. Each month has a whole month calendar, and then a weekly two-page spread. This agenda has a great balance between a long-term view and daily events/tasks. I have yet to run out of room for all of the craziness I have! Sure, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but I would say it is worth it!
2) Emma Notebook; Striped Notebook, Kate Spade
Staying in the Kate Spade tradition, these medium sized notebooks are fantastic for work. They are a little different, people don’t actually pick them up, and it is good quality paper. A little pricey at $14 each, but a nice splurge!
3) Idiom Pencils, Kate Spade
The last Kate Spade item on this list, these pencils are super cute and now people can’t steal my pencils at work! I would not have purchased these at full price ($20 for $10 pencils is excessive, even for me and Kate Spade) but a 50% off sticker at Dillard’s convinced me. They are slightly smaller than the standard #2 pencil, which I like! Extra points for witty sayings 🙂
4) London Town Mini Sticky Notes, Galison
If you didn’t know, I love London. I firmly believe if you are tired of London, you are tired of life. There are four different tab-style sticky notes, and one 2″x2″ sticky note- quintessentially London in design, cute and quirky! My mom originally bought these for me, and then Katelynne, being the truly amazing person she is, bought them for me for my birthday- this was fortuitous, as I was crushed that I was running out 😀 These are a nice pick-me-up at work!
4) London and Degas Mini Notebooks, Galison
I found these at an adorable little shop at Gardiner’s Village in SLC, $2 each and the perfect size to throw in a purse or pocket for short lists! Again, something a little different- ballet is a constant in my life and Degas was a genius. Of course I will carry a tiny Degas painting around. The London notebook is adorable, as usual!
