Canadian Lilly Lovers, Style File Friday

Since starting my Lilly Pulitzer journey, I’ve spent a good amount of time reading and talking with people who see Lilly on a daily basis with no questions asked! However, I’ve found an absolutely wonderful group of Canadian Lilly lovers who understand how tough it can be to find this wonderful brand, and wear it proudly in this Lilly-less country of ours. These women are so friendly and welcoming, and although it’s a smaller group, are entirely supportive. These are some of their Lilly stories!

Lilly Pulitzer Cori Dress Review, Style File Friday

I’ve got a fairly conservative style of dress, in regards to colour and print. I’m slowly learning to take more risks, branch out, and not take my clothing so seriously. It doesn’t mean that I’m not going to avoid the neon pinks and yellows, but animals and multiple colours!! I’m hoping that these reviews will help at least a few people- I find that Lilly can be hit and miss with pieces and there aren’t always a ton of reviews available. So, without further adieu, my newest piece of summer clothing…

Lilly Pulitzer Popover, Style File Friday

If you happened to read my SS17 Style To-Do List, you will recall that my list is actually quite short- just three things! I’ve acquired the first item on my list, a Lilly Pulitzer popover. It took a bit of Facebook re-sale board stalking, but I was able to get a print that I love at a wonderful price, and I’m wearing it as I sit at the airport and wait for my flight (so far, so good on the warmth). Today is going to be a review of the popover and my recommendations!

Lilly Pulitzer Windward Dress, Style File Friday

Continuing on in my spring and summer theme for clothing, I’m sharing a light and fun dress that I was able to find for a fantastic price! The Windward Dress is a casual, cotton dress from Lilly Pulitzer that I bought for less than half of the retail price with patience and luck. I’m still working on branching out from my wardrobe of many, many solid neutrals (and stripes that are essentially a neutral…), so Lilly is a perfect infusion of fun and pattern. Although Sea Ruffles (this pattern) is monochromatic, the light blue and white is not at all present in my wardrobe! Look at me, branching out like an adult. This is the story of how I actually found the dress, and my review and thoughts of it!

Style File Friday, 5 Tips for Resale Boards

Resell boards are pretty popular nowadays- they are a great way to buy affordable and hard-to-find items that you might otherwise not be to. You can find them for pretty much every brand and geographic location, if you are willing to spend a little time poking around. However, there rules and methods to using each board and it’s not always as straightforward as it seems. I am here to help and pass on my experience! This post is going to focus on Facebook resell groups because they are accessible to anyone who has Facebook.

Style File Friday, Lilly for Target

So, in the last month or so, I’ve decided to jump into the ocean of Lilly Pulitzer. Charlotte has been the most fantastic guide throughout this process- to an outside, it can be a little overwhelming figuring out Lilly. It’s not the most expensive brand but it’s also not the cheapest by a long stretch. Today’s post is all about how I came to my first piece….

My Style To-Do List, SS17

I have an overall list of Holes in My ClosetΒ that are items that I would eventually like to track down, and most likely invest in slowly. Much like Charlotte, I am really trying to limit my “fast fashion” buying and flipping through pieces. Instead of just wandering through the mall on a whim and seeing what catches my eye, I’m going to keep a list of specific pieces that I want and what I am willing to pay for it. The goal is not necessarily to save the most money but rather to end up with pieces that carefully chosen and will last!Β  Continue reading
