There is nothing more important to holiday celebrations than food, or at least for most of us. We all feel incredibly strongly about the food that we eat for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, etc. “You can ONLY have turkey, roast potatoes, and cranberry sauce”- we’ve all heard something to this effect. However, I thought I would bring recipes back to Blogmas for 2023 so that you can update your options without changing your perennial Christmas favourites. We are starting with a sweet and salty snack that will appeal to any age: Christmas Pretzel Sleighs!
Christmas Pretzel Sleighs
These are a fun snack for any age. Sweet and salty continues to do well, and because this is a smaller snack, it isn’t overwhelming. And importantly for me, you can make these several days ahead of when you plan to serve them without them going stale or soft!
Ingredients
-2 bags of white chocolate chips (225g each)
-1 bag of stick pretzels (300g)
-Red and Green M&Ms (200g)

Directions
- Line 4 baking sheets with parchment paper; set close to the stove.
- Open bag of pretzels; set close to stove.
- Melt two bags of white chocolate chips on the stove using the double boil method- you will have the chocolate chips in a metal bowl over top of a pot with boiling water. You will need someone to continuously stir the white chocolate chips.
- Take four pretzels (side by side) and dip them in the white chocolate; place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Add a red or green M&M.
- Allow to cool fully before eating or packaging.
- Store in an airtight container up to a week before consuming.
