Now that the relaunch is here, I am quite excited to share when you can find what you are looking for, and all of the ways that you can connect with me! My favourite part of blogging is being able to connect with my readers and have a real sense of community, and I am hoping that keeping all of my pertinent information in spot will be helpful for all of you lovely readers. I am incredibly grateful to each one of you, and I am excited to share in this next stage of An Historian About Town with you!
An Historian About Town Schedule
For the most part, this will be my schedule for the blog! There will be a few exceptions- such as my post on the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s The Handmaid’s Tale on October 10th, because that is when it premieres- but overall, this is what you can expect when!
Sunday- Culture, including books, ballet/arts, and travel
Monday- Personal Development, including etiquette, relationships, career, and life skills
Wednesday- Life Tip (a short piece of advice to help with those little things we forget
Friday- Style File Friday, including favourite pieces, advice, recommendations, and resources
Saturday- Culture or an older favourite post

Instagram is one of my favourite networks now! I have a new post or two each day, and I share stories throughout the day, including what I’m wearing, reading and doing. I have really been enjoying connecting with followers on Instagram, I’ve been having a lot more conversations there and I’m really getting to know people 🙂 (You can also follow my westie, Agnes, if you love adorable dogs!)

I’m more active on Twitter again, so feel free to follow me for chats and some fairly interesting finds! I often share historical and book news, but anything that catches my fancy, as well chats where you can get to me.
I am very active on Pinterest, and like to share my favourite history, style, reading, baking, and ballet/arts pages there. There is a lot of gorgeous gowns, delicious recipes, and royal portraits!

Congratulations on your new site! I just read your comment on my blogging anniversary post, about your comments being down. Did you know when I see your posts in the Reader that there is no longer a comment button? Just like and share buttons. I have been unable to comment on any of your posts, so I therefore am seeing fewer of your posts because I am not commenting. I wondered if that is because you are a self-hosted site now….whatever that means, and I am not sure of the difference, as you are still part of WordPress? Anyway I thought I would let you know……I think Ruby/Ruth tried to explain when she replied as well under my/your posts. I also sent you a message under contact, but it kept asking for my url, so I’m not sure it sent.
Hi Joan!! I did get your email from the Contact page, it just arrived ? The lack of comment box is because I’m self-hosted now and I’m still trying to see if there is a solution!! (I haven’t found one yet ?) Thank you for the warm wishes! And yes, I think a lot of people pass in and out of blogging, both reading and writing, and it can be quite frustrating for those of us left!!
I have added that book to my to-read list ? I think you would write a FANTASTIC mystery, and it is such a good exercise even if it is just for yourself. A blog should be able to move and grow with you, including moving to a place of fiction!! Have you thought of doing National Novem Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November to get it kicked off??
