For the last Book Bite of the year, I wanted to make sure I shared a festive book with you. Although the majority of my Book Bites are non-fiction, I do read many fiction books. This book was a total surprise for me- I happened to find the audiobook on sale, and my scepticism was quickly dispelled. Today I’m chatting about Tom Ellen’s All About Us and why it’s the perfect holiday read!

Why You Need to Read This…
I do appreciate A Christmas Carol and the impact that it has had on Christmas literature and lore. However, I don’t necessarily reach for it to continually re-read. This modern update to Dickens’ famous book is absolutely worth listening to again, though. (If it’s not clear, I listened to the audiobook.) Although I love my holiday chick lit, I enjoyed that there was a male protagonist, and written by a male author. I think that All About Us has been updated perfectly, and Ellen’s references aren’t quite in my wheelhouse, he brilliantly brought this into the modern period. And even though it is loosely based on A Christmas Carol, I was still surprised throughout and waited in suspense until the end. Truly a fantastic and heartfelt holiday read!
