For anyone who follows my Instagram account, you will know that I am getting my very own Westie in the spring. I’ve been slowly getting things ready so that she will have a doggo friendly home when she gets here.
The Winnipeg Westie Walk has quickly become one of my favourite events in the year! Although I don’t have my own Westie just yet and Daisy lives all the way in Seattle, I obviously still love being able to meet and hang out with Westies. There’s nothing like seeing a field full of Westies and realising that you might not have time to pet them because there are so many of them. So, here are some of my favourite shots from the 2017 Winnipeg Westie Walk!
Langley is a small seaside town on Whidbey Island that is picturesque and quaint, made for strolling. Of course I demanded to take Daisy for walkies on this trip- she is the absolute best dog for walking. Not only do you get to follow her carrot tail on her inwestigations, she loves being on leash and doesn’t pull or wander off in the least. We only walked for about half an hour but the rain held off and it was a wonderful way to start the day!
For anyone who doesn’t know, Daisy is my soulmate. Daisy is M’s Westie, and she just gets me. We are both tiny, we are both sassy, and we both sometimes get sassy when we get lost in the shuffle because we are tiny. I always insist on taking her out whenever I visit, because she looks so happy and I love to see that teeny terrier smile! I am quite lucky that M lives in Washington, as the weather doesn’t get too cold for Daisy. So, armed with a Daisy, a tiny green coat, and smiles, where did we go? Continue reading
Although I would love it more than anything, I promise that not every Wednesday will have Westies! However, this past weekend I was lucky enough to fulfil one of my lifelong dreams to attend a Westie gathering. Continue reading
Every time I head out west, a good amount of my love is spent on Daisy! A teeny Westie with a heart of gold, an attitude 5x her size, and a beardie that won’t quit- she’s adorable. This post is entirely dedicated to my time with Daisy on this past trip!
I flew out to see M nice and early on 9 August- why did I pick such an early flight? Because we had tickets to Bark at the Park with the Seattle Mariners that evening! M told me about it four or five months ago, and ever since I have been obsessed with bringing Daisy to see the Mariners. She is tiny and well-behaved and loves exploring, so it seemed like the perfect night out for her. She had never really been in the city- it was time for her to be a Westie About Town! For my newer readers that don’t know, I wholeheartedly love all animals! My brother’s husky Loki, my boyfriend’s Westie Daisy, and the rabbits I volunteer with at the Humane Society every week go a long way in keeping me happy and grounded. Continue reading
Although it is super bright and Spring-y elsewhere, it is slightly less so here! Still, I no longer have to wear a parka and wool scarf but can instead move to slightly lighter items! This is a happy day for the this girl 🙂 Continue reading
