The Truth of Long Distance Relationships

Long distance relationships- everyone has thoughts on them. “They never work,” “why try?”, “my partner and I were long distance for X years”. I do not believe that there is an across the board answer to “are they good or bad”, I think it depends on both individuals and the couple. Some people can make them work for decades, others can only go a few months before it’s too much. In any case, today I’m going to share my thoughts on long distance relationships! But first, I have to make a confession…

Lifestyle Investments

Early adulthood is the land of difficult choices, less money than we would like, and a whole lot of confusion. Most of us flounder in some way or another, but you can set yourself up for a solid future by making some key investments. How to Quit Drinking Pop

So, I’m doing my best to avoid drinking pop (aka soda… aka carbonated beverages…) currently, in my bid to take better care of myself and focus on my health. It’s tough because I do love Cherry Coke and Vanilla Coke (and Cherry Vanilla Coke) but I limit myself to when I go out for dinner, which isn’t very often. I don’t drink it that often but I do have patterns that I drink it with certain meals- it’s a harder habit to break than I thought it would be. It turns out, I’ve had to be more creative than I thought with how I’m approaching it…

Mystery Blogger Award

This post is due to Charlotte and her lovely nomination for the Mystery Blogger Award! I particularly love this award given my fascination with mysteries- I’m hoping that I can still maintain an air of mystery throughout my life. (“Was she a professional cookie maker? Do dogs seek her out? Can she really cartwheel through the snow?” These are all questions I hope people will ask about me.)
