History in the Making

#GoJetsGo

For those readers that don’t know, I am a huuuuuge Winnipeg Jets fan. (If you live in Winnipeg and aren’t, you probably are going to be forced to move away from Winnipeg.) And for those of you that don’t know, the Jets made the NHL playoffs for the first time since our return in 2011. Yes, we clinched it by Calgary defeating the Kings, but we made it there. It was particularly sweetened by the fact that simultaneously we clinched our spot and the Kings were eliminated. THANK YOU, Calgary Flames!!

Safe to say, it’s currently the only real topic of conversation here in Winnipeg, and I am a-okay with that. Most people outside of Canada don’t get the same excitement that we get from watching our hockey teams- the game is so fast and intense that everything can keep changing from one second to the next. Playoff hockey is that much more intense, and I can’t wait to see the team give it their all in the playoffs!
