We, like many other families, go and get our Christmas tree from a tree farm. Most of my friends actually have artificial trees, but we have never had a fake tree! Last year we all started going with my dad to get the tree, and it is now a fun tradition.
It’s pretty much what you would expect- a farm of treeeeeeees. We have a fourteen foot tree (with twenty two foot ceilings, it fits the space), so that one is shipped from Quebec. Mine however needs to be cut down, so I headed out into the tree fields to find my pick!
Ahhhhhh, we’ve found it! Dad cut it down like a pro! (He built a log home, so I suppose he is a pro!)
They do have a sleigh ride at the farm, but we didn’t have a chance to ride it- on the menu for next year!
We visited the petting zoo portion, Tiny Kid got to see some animals that are him-sized!! I love the mini horses 😀 (Byyyyyye-byyyyyye Lil’ Sebaaaaaaastiaaaan)

We headed inside,  grabbed some hot dogs, cookies, and hot chocolate. It’s a nice barn with a good amount of seating, and very Christmas-y decorations! And yes, those ornaments are jean pockets 🙂
Fast forward twenty four hours, and we have a fourteen foot decorated tree! You have to love Christmas!
Of course I have a Hermione Granger ornament, duuuh.
Ballet dancers are found allll around the tree!
There is a lovely assortment of Alpha Gam ornaments (mostly squirrels). This is my newest acquisition from the Alpha Gam Boutique!
If Belle isn’t on the tree, something is wrong.

Mom and I grabbed matching Guard ornaments when we went to the Palace of Holyroodhouse!

What a lovely post. Very Christmassy. No snow here in the UK for use. It’s actually been really warm winter. The tree looks great. Love all the quirky ornaments, especially the nutcracker westie!

I will admit to nerdily (is that a word? If not, it is now) cultivating my ornament collection, including buying them in 35° weather in July because they looked adorable haha
