Something I have very much come to appreciate about my readers is that you reach out. And what I’ve learned over the last few months is that you, my lovely readers, really enjoy my culture posts! I wasn’t entirely sure, as many culture posts tend to be local, but many of you have let me know that you want more culture. (And to all of you that have reached out, I am quite grateful for it.) Now, I promise that I won’t post fourteen ballet posts a month, but I will be including more dance, theatre, art, and culture posts!

Culture means something different to everyone, but my hope is to cover quite a broad range. Ballet and dance are obviously my passion, but I do have several different theatre shows lined up for the next year, and there are several art exhibitions that I’m also hoping to check out. And I already have a few culture think pieces scheduled throughout the summer, in case you thought it was safe from my rants… (If culture doesn’t exist to make us think, I do not know what does…)

If there is any particular area of culture you would like to see on the blog, send me an email at anhistorianabouttown@gmail.com or reach out to me on social media! I think that in 2019, culture is becoming more accessible than ever, but that can also be rather overwhelming. Culture also gets pushed aside for being elitist, but it doesn’t have to be- we can all enjoy it in our own ways! And if you are interested in writing a guest culture post on one of your adventures, you can email me at anhistorianabouttown@gmail.com with the subject “Culture Post”.
Stay tuned for more weekend culture posts!
Cheers,
The Historian
