This past Sunday was our International Reunion Day for our chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta. Junior Circle was once again the organisers, but we held it at a venue that did everything for us! No more staying up until midnight making shortbread and tarts. I enjoyed my haircut, manicure, and pedicure on Saturday morning with the programs already finished the night before. I had my write up on Junior Circle complete last weekend, and the icebreaker questions written. It was interesting to start the day on a full night of sleep.

Overall, I was very happy with how it went! Unfortunately I have no pictures to show (isn’t that always how it goes), but I think everyone enjoyed it. I updated everyone on what Junior Circle has accomplished in the past year, and what we plan on doing for the next 6-9 months. When you see/hear it all together, it really makes me proud to think of everything that 4-5 of us have made happen. Sure, we are small. It focuses the work on a small number of people. But those of us that are there want to be there, and we enjoy each other’s company! We have brunches and retreats and dinners and escape rooms and anything we want to do. Most of all, we are staying active in Alpha Gamma Delta. If that isn’t success, I don’t know what is!
We heard from the collegiate chapter on their goings-on for the past year! We did a similar ice breaker to the Beta Beta IRD, and three sisters spoke eloquently on the endless possibilities that Alpha Gamma Delta has provided for them. It was wonderful to see alumnae and collegians getting to know each other more, and to hear more some important messages from our sisters. There were quite a few alumnae there who don’t normally come up, and it was fantastic to see them! I want everyone to know that Junior Circle is open and welcoming to any sister. We finished up with a short rededication ceremony for the graduating members who attended and then it was finished!
Another event accomplished for Junior Circle! I am so proud of Junior Circle, and I couldn’t ask for anything more. We have accomplished so much in our two year existence, and I am grateful to have these amazing women in my life. I hope that everyone “finds their own Junior Circle” to call home!
Do you have a close group of friends in your life?
