From now until Christmas, I will be sharing my favourite ornaments and their stories every Tuesday and Saturday! I collect ornaments of all kinds- our tree is not a cohesive set of ornaments, bought to be one picture but rather a mish-mash of ornaments that are all over the place but each tell their own story. The ornaments that I will be sharing are ornaments that have a unique story or a special meaning to me, and I hope that you enjoy them!

This plaid squirrel is the result of my first Alpha Gam Secret Squirrel ornament exchange! Sadly, whomever had me either forgot about it or dropped out (I can’t remember which) but Kirsty, the absolutely lovely Alpha Gam who organises it sent me this squirrel ornament herself! For anyone who doesn’t know- which I’m assuming is most people….- the squirrel is the mascot of Alpha Gamma Delta! And if you missed it a little while back, my love of plaid goes far and wide. So, not only is a plaid squirrel an ideal ornament for me, it reminds me that there is always a sister there for me, no matter what! (Also, it’s a fabric ornament meaning that it survives the attention of two huskies and a toddler, which is crucial.)

What’s your favourite ornament?
Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

I want to buy a little table top tree for my bedroom. Maybe on boxing day with the sales lol and then a small pack of matching ornaments just to get me startes
Okay, I bought a table top tree for my Harry Potter set-up, and I couldn’t find a pre-lit table top tree. Did you see pre-lit trees anywhere??
My pre-lit tree came from walmart. $20 and it even has this super decorative pot that its in. Really cute!
