I’m back again with another personal/social media update, for everyone to take part in! Over the last year or so, I’ve been using the hashtag #HistoriansOnTheLoose on Instagram to document my historical adventures. No matter where I am, local or international, or what I’m specifically doing, if I’m on a historical adventure, I use it. And now it has its own formal hashtag and account- welcome to #HistoriansOnTheLoose!
You can find the account on Instagram at @HistoriansOnTheLoose! You can also search for the hashtag #HistoriansOnTheLoose- both should lead you there. I want to stress, anyone at all can use it- you don’t have to have a history degree or work in the field or anything. If you are out to discover history, tag it! Anyone and everyone is welcome. I am regramming people who use the hashtag/tag us, so it is an excellent way to reach more people, as well!
My goal is to show the fun and exciting side of history. While I love reading and getting lost in primary sources, history is more than just books and written research. We get out and explore the echoes of the past wherever we are, and I want to celebrate that with everyone. It doesn’t matter if it is an older photo or a current one, I would love to see it. Let’s share our adventures!
