“You’re a tasty one… er, mean one… Mr. Grinch!” As I chatted about in my Holiday Movie Bite this week, How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of those holiday classics that endures. (His heart grew 3 sizes- what’t not to love??) While the food in Whoville has always been excessively interesting to me, I don’t know that you could easily make it. However, you can easily make Grinch mix to get in the spirit! This is a delicious and easy to make mix that is always very popular at parties. Without further adieu, my Grinch mix recipe of the day!

Grinch Mix Recipe
Grinch mix is one of those snacks that looks really fun without a lot of effort, and is a clear favourite at potlucks and parties. (It also divides up nicely into smaller portions, as potlucks/food sharing isn’t that common now…) My only recommendations on this one are that you will need a lot of green food colouring to get a bright green mixture, and if there is a question of peanut allergies, you can swap in another salty snack.
Grinch Mix Ingredients
-8 cups of salted popcorn (popped)
-2 cups of small wrapped pretzels
-1 cup of peanuts
-2 cups of white chocolate chips
-green food colouring
-Red and green M&Ms
Grinch Mix Directions
1. Lay out four baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
2. Mix popcorn, pretzels, and peanuts in extra-large bowl.
3. Melt white chocolate chips in double-boiler on stove (continuously stirring). When fully melted, mix in green colouring (to your chosen vibrancy).
4. Pour white chocolate into popcorn mixture and mix thoroughly.
5. Spread popcorn mixture onto lined baking sheets and sprinkle M&Ms on top.
6. Allow to cool completely before dividing up.
