History in the Making

Essentially, the theme of my life is planning.

I apologise for the MIA-status as of lately, life has been busy busy busy! I just got home from International Reunion Day, for our local Alpha Gamma Delta chapter. In the hectic-ness of everything, I neglected to take pictures, but everything turned out well!

It was a bit of a scramble in the beginning- one of us planners was without power (and she still did everything like Super Woman), I got held up for a while in traffic due to lights being out, and then people were quite late. I’m not going to lie, here Alpha Gams often pass off being late as “Alpha Gam time”. I will tell anyone, I still think it is inconsiderate of people. However, once getting started, the program went off without a hitch, and I was happy to catch up with people! Now, the planning focus moves to the 85th anniversary.

I have a busy week before I go: an interview to volunteer with the Humane Society here, work, manicure, family birthdays, and packing! I am partway through packing, hopefully completely done by Wednesday at bedtime so I have time if anything last minute pops up on Thursday. Fingers crossed it doesn’t, but my planning can’t prevent everything. It still hasn’t hit me that I will be going back to Ireland, but I’m sure it will come in a few days. I’ve been crazy doing things for IRD, and now I’m a tad nervous for my interview, so I suppose the excitement will follow after that is taken care of. Wish me luck!

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!
