History in the Making

Cath Kidston Dog Prints, Style File Friday

Cath Kidston is one of my favourite designers. While I wouldn’t necessarily wear head to toe Cath Kidston prints, they are the perfect way to make an outfit more fun. New prints are always coming out, but there are a few themes that keep popping up! Florals, animals, and food, among many others. I’ve already shared my favourite London print pieces, but obviously they aren’t the only ones I love. These Cath Kidston dog prints are some of my favourites, and you can find a wide variety of pieces in each of them!

Cath Kidston Dog Prints!

If you don’t know, I have a doggo of my own: a Westie who happens to (usually) answer to Agnes. While there seems to be a lot of cat and llama print items out there, there is a shortage of dogs. So, I’m sure you can understand my excitement when I discovered all of Cath Kidston’s different dog print options! (And if you are interested in seeing more of Cath Kidston’s prints from over the years, check out their archive.)

Cath Kidston Billie Dog Blue Pajama Pants

As you can tell from the photo here, these pants are already well loved. They have pockets! I know everyone goes on and on about pockets in dresses, but pockets in lounge pants?! This needs to catch on. These are a warmer flannel pant, and they are quite comfy. They are also a very cute terrier print that I think everyone can appreciate. (I mean, it’s not a westie, but I will take it.) You will notice that there some figures and items that reoccur throughout the years, and from my research on Cath Kidston prints, this little guy tends to show up more often than not. And colourwise, these work year round! And these were a steal at the O2 outlet, for only £10. I do find Cath Kidston clothing can be a tad dear, but smart shopping can help!

Cath Kidston Mini Squiggle Dogs Ticket Holder

This is probably one of my favourite purchases of my UK trip, mostly because I was able to use it on the trip. For anyone who doesn’t know, ticket holders are quite useful in the UK and in Europe, and really anywhere that you need to have train or transportation tickets handy. I much preferred having a ticket holder to keeping them in my pocket (where they might fall out) or in my wallet (which might get stolen). And happily I quickly noticed that I didn’t stand out for having one, they are very common in the UK!

As far as Cath Kidston dog prints go, this is one of my favourites. The hand drawn doggos look like they have been doodled in a Bic pen, and the red background is my favourite. (Why don’t more designers use red??) I could see a top or dress in this print being a little overwhelming but for a small accessory, it is pretty perfect. Once again, dogs for the win!

Cath Kidston Squiggle Dogs Oven Mitt

THIS PRINT HAS A WESTIE IN IT. I REPEAT, THERE IS A WESTIE IN IT. I may have let out a scream when I saw this print at the Cath Kidston outlet. Dogs, including a westie, on an oven mitt for my baking?! It was a Cath Kidston match made in heaven. It is just an adorable fun dog print, and an excellent quality oven mitt. While I loved being able to use my ticket holder while I was in the UK, I love being able to use my oven mitt here. I can tell that I’m heading back into a baking phase, so it was an even more perfect purchase than I thought.

Cath Kidston Squiggle Dogs Shopper Bag Foldaway

This bag is courtesy of the wonderful Hannah from Just Another Day, who nabbed it at the Cath Kidston outlet store for me!! I must admit, my Lululemon dance bags are getting quite beat up now. Unfortunately for me, Lulu stopped making that style of bag a good 7-8 years ago. Thus the Cath Kidston bag! (I will admit, I almost bought it on my trip, and massively regretted not buying it. I am *extremely* lucky that Hannah was heading there, but lesson learned: don’t pass it up!) This bag is the perfect size for going to a drop in dance class or gym glass, but I also use it when I need to lug a bit with me on a day out. It is PVC coated on the inside, meaning that I don’t have to worry about anything staining it or soaking in. There is also a handy pouch to fold it up into when I’m not using it, meaning it is very easy to keep in my car for when I’m out!
