Thankfully when I visited the UK, I had the best Cath Kidston guide a girl could ask for. Hannah from Just Another Day was incredibly kind, and agreed to do many things with me, not least of all visit several Cath Kidston shops. We visited at least three different Cath Kidston shops (possibly four…) and I played in prints to my heart’s content. CK has a wide variety of prints, but without a doubt, my favourite prints have to be the London prints. Fun without being kitschy, the many Cath Kidston London prints are some of my favourite trip souvenirs.
There are several Cath Kidston London prints. Some are singular, some are more varied, but all are lovely. They always bring up wonderful memories for me, I’ve never had any issues with quality, and I get to use my souvenirs instead of just looking at them every once in a while. (And if you aren’t familiar with Cath Kidston, there are non-London prints. They have some lovely floral prints, and many animal prints!! Look forward to a CK doggo post soon…) But onto the London prints!
Cath Kidston Weekender Bag, £18
This was a wonderful find, and I’m SO happy that I found it. I actually used it as my carry on luggage on the way home, and it can hold so much stuff. I brought my Longchamp on the plane on the way there, and I was able to just put my entire Longchamp bag into this bag, and still have oodles of space left. It also folds up into a small pouch, which is fantastic for storage. The inside is plastic coated, which is the absolute best for cleaning it. And after a long trip, sometimes it is nice to be able to go through and do a deep clean! The strap is also a great length for however you want to travel. Top marks for ease of use in every category.
The weekender and travel bags seem to sell for £50+, so I was thrilled to get this for under £20! Hannah introduced me to the Cath Kidston outlet, and now I’m just heartbroken that I can’t visit all of the time. (My wallet is probably thrilled, though…) It’s also quite a steal to get one of the London prints at the outlet. The other London pieces that I will share are full priced items, and I think for the most part are standard collection pieces. If my Google skills are accurate, this is the “Travel Great Britain” print, and I love that it includes nods to several different things. (The double decker buses and the Piccadilly street signs!!)
Guards Lanyard, £4
This was a last minute airport purchase on the way home, and I love it. (Airport shops usually give you 10-20% off; Cath Kidston does 15%.) It’s not on the website, but it’s another London print- the classic guards. I can’t say that I would want this in a bigger piece, because it would get a little much. It’s also largely only available in kids items, so I jumped at the opportunity to buy it in an adult item. I don’t know about you, but having a lanyard makes it a million times easier to find your keys in your purse…
Mini London Icons Zip Around Glasses Case, £15
This was a full priced purchase but such a worthwhile one! I have a really cute tweed glasses case from Ness, but the only downfall is that it is quite bulky. This CK case is super lightweight, quite thin, and it comes with a microfibre cloth. If you don’t buy glasses a lot, that isn’t a given- and when you lose that cloth, it will inevitably be EXACTLY when you need it most. It’s also just really cute. It isn’t just a “matching brand to your glasses” case, and it’s a lovely reminder of my trip every time I put on my glasses. And I just love the Mini Icons print; if I’m being honest, I also have the notebook and pen (although they aren’t style finds).
… And no, bringing 3 notebooks home from my trip was not too many.
