Trial- Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Trial- Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

I have been baking a fair amount, but nothing new, so I haven’t had any trials to post. Well, I decided to try some double chocolate cookies! I probably could have spent more time deciding which recipe to go with, but I picked one from […]

Trial- Upcoming Recipes

I recently broke down and finally ordered Butter Baked Goods: Nostalgic Recipes from a Little Neighborhood Bakery. I’ve been looking at it for years, and I just had to. And it does not disappoint. Firstly, it is a beautiful book. The pictures are great, the font […]

Trial- Marshmallow Peanut Butter Butterscotch Thingies

Trial- Marshmallow Peanut Butter Butterscotch Thingies

My whole family loves peanut butter, like LOVES PEANUT BUTTER. I could take it or leave it, myself. But alas, we had a long weekend, I was hanging out with Jason and Loki for most of it, and my brother wanted to make peanut butter […]

Trial- Eight million kinds of chocolate in one brownie

Trial- Eight million kinds of chocolate in one brownie

I have been on the hunt for a brownie recipe that is a little different, and I found it!! There is no cocoa powder in this recipe, you start by melting a whole bag of chocolate chips with butter. I don’t make brownies to be healthy, I make brownies to eat brownies. Vicki (one of my pledge sisters) came over to keep me company while I made these. They were not terribly difficult, I didn’t have to pay too much attention to what I was doing. I didn’t use the KitchenAid or an electric mixer, just a wooden spoon and a bowl. There is a full bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips, half a cup of milk chocolate chips, and an entire “take home” bag of M&Ms in this- go big or go home, right??
