Trial: Snickerdoodle FAIL
I usually don’t have insane expectations of a recipe, but if you spend at least a paragraph discussing how soft and pillowy your cookies are, I will be disappointed that my snickerdoodles went hard after an HOUR. I have not had great luck in the past […]
Trial- Old School: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
My dad seems to obsessed with oatmeal raisin cookies, and every time I make cookies, he tells me to make oatmeal raisin cookies instead. Buuuut, I don’t particularly like raisins, especially not cooked. No one wants a super hard, tiny rock raisin. So, when I […]
Trial- Marshmallow Peanut Butter Butterscotch Thingies
My whole family loves peanut butter, like LOVES PEANUT BUTTER. I could take it or leave it, myself. But alas, we had a long weekend, I was hanging out with Jason and Loki for most of it, and my brother wanted to make peanut butter […]
Trial- M&M Chunky Cookie Bars (or something to that effect)
I’m still rolling on the M&M train! I might be an awful Canadian but I prefer M&Ms to Smarties. (Any Americans reading this, please visit this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smarties. Smarties aren’t what you think here!) I’m really loving the recipes I’ve found on What Megan’s Making, and […]
Trial- Eight million kinds of chocolate in one brownie
I have been on the hunt for a brownie recipe that is a little different, and I found it!! There is no cocoa powder in this recipe, you start by melting a whole bag of chocolate chips with butter. I don’t make brownies to be healthy, I make brownies to eat brownies. Vicki (one of my pledge sisters) came over to keep me company while I made these. They were not terribly difficult, I didn’t have to pay too much attention to what I was doing. I didn’t use the KitchenAid or an electric mixer, just a wooden spoon and a bowl. There is a full bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips, half a cup of milk chocolate chips, and an entire “take home” bag of M&Ms in this- go big or go home, right??
