While it is still technically spring, I think that a lot of us feel that summer is starting now that June is here. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, temperatures are heating up, weekends are getting longer, and there is no shortage of things to do. However, that also means that summer on the blog is approaching! 2024 Summer Hiatus
As in past years, this site (AnHistorianAboutTown.com) will be going on summer hiatus! From 1 July to 18 August, the blog will be on hiatus and there will be no new posts publishing. This time gives me the space to mentally reset to bring you fresh content, and if I’m being honest, get my fall and holiday content mapped out. (Plus it lets me enjoy some of my favourite summer events, like Ballet in the Park.) You will have a new post on Monday 19 August to kick things off again! (I should say, everything published on the blog will remain available- there isn’t anything new publishing but you can access all existing materials.)
An Historian About Town Newsletter
The An Historian About Town newsletter will be continuing throughout the summer, though. It is a paid newsletter that publishes on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month that includes exclusive history content, book recommendations, period drama reviews, royal news analysis, and more! The support allows me to cover the costs that come with running the blog and improve the content I am producing for you! You can find the newsletter at AnHistorianAboutTown.substack.com.

Social Media- Threads and TikTok
I will still be around on social media throughout the summer, and the best places to find me is Threads and TikTok! My Threads is a mix of history posts and reading updates, if you are interested to know what I am reading/what I’m thinking about more regularly. My TikTok is currently fairly Bridgerton focused but you can find all sorts of history videos on my page! Please feel free to follow other, I always love to see my followers around.
