Trial: Root Beer Float Pie

I’ve kicked off my summer of recipes! Root Beer Float Pie was first up. I was at the lake this past weekend, and I figured that it would be the perfect place to make- I just brought our handmixer from home for the whipped cream. And if you had to whip it by hand, you could! (Your arm might fall off after, though….)

This recipe is courtesy of Tasty Junior; henceforth, it’s super easy with only a handful of ingredients!

Directions:
1. Mix the root beer, milk, and pudding mix until thick.
2. Beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, and fold into the pudding mixture.
3.Pour into prepared graham cracker crust, and freeze for four hours or refrigerate overnight.
4. Enjoy!

Changes that I Made

– I only kept it in the freezer for 3 hours, and I took it out for ~25 minutes before serving it. I wanted it softer and creamier!

This pie is delicious!! I’m currently trying to figure out how to make the root beer taste stronger. The vanilla pudding really swings it towards the vanilla taste in the root beer. In any case, it is fantastic! It takes roughly 15 minutes of actual work, and would be perfect for any gathering.

What is your favourite summer dessert?

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!
