Welcome to Blogmas 2025

Well, it is once again that time of year- Blogmas! Not only do I adore the holiday season and the history behind it, it is the 10th anniversary of Blogmas here on An Historian About Town. Each year, there is a daily post for you to enjoy during the holiday season- some posts are about the holidays, some aren’t. (I completely understand- the holidays can be overwhelming, variety is key!) And in honour of 10 years, I have a few extra surprises for you for Blogmas 2025!

Blogmas 2025

For Blogmas 2025, we will have a little bit of everything! As I said above, I totally get that Christmas can be overwhelming for a lot of people and some people simply aren’t interested, so it is about half and half for Christmas/non-Christmas this Blogmas.

As many of you might expect, I have much to share with you from my London trip, including a little touch of London Christmas. (A massive thank you to London for slowly rolling out their Christmas decorations early!) And as this December marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth (16 December to be specific), I will be including some Jane Austen history each week, as well. You can also expect book recommendations and non-holiday history posts throughout the month, as normal.
