History in the Making

Snapshot- 14 March 2018

This past weekend, I found myself in an interesting situation, one that I’ve never encountered before…

Ballet dancer calf muscle injury
This weekend was the weekend of my ballet performance with one show on Saturday evening, one on Sunday afternoon, and the final on Sunday evening. Well, I had a severe muscle spasm about half an hour before the show started on Saturday evening during run-through. It was particularly difficult because a) it’s difficult to know in the moment if it is a spasm or an actual tea, and b) I’ve never had to make the decision whether to dance or not. I didn’t dance on Saturday night but was able to ice/stretch/accommodate enough to dance in both Sunday shows. It really made me think about how many times I danced when I was younger when I shouldn’t have…
Have you ever had a moment where your age just hits you?
Until tomorrow,
