Wherever you are and whatever you are doing today, I wish you a very Merry Christmas! While this is almost certainly another “different” Christmas and holiday season for all of us, I think that it is important to take time to think of others and let them know what they mean to you. So today, I am wishing all of you lovely readers the most festive holiday wishes!
2021 has been a big year for me. While it seems on the surface like everything is much the same, I have a lot on the go. The blog is exponentially growing. I’ve done podcast guest spots and interviews for magazines and sources. And my biggest personal news- I’m applying for my PhD in history in the UK for autumn 2022. It’s a lot of “behind the scenes” work, but it has made me far happier.

Today I will be happily doing primary source research for several different projects, a period drama or two, and giving myself time to read. And of course, what would today be without many dog walks and play time with Agnes? (There is nothing as festive as a dog with new toys and a fun sweater.)
I hope that wherever you are, you are able to take an hour or two and do something you love. Maybe it is going for a walk, maybe it is playing games, maybe it is reading a good book. Whatever it is, I hope you have a wonderfully Merry Christmas!
I will be back tomorrow with the last week of Blogmas finishing up! Merry Christmas!
Cheers,
The Historian
