I admit it, I could not wait- I had to start Blogmas 2021 early! This year’s Blogmas has some different features and series and I wanted to be able to give a full four weeks of posts before the year-end wrap-up starts, so you get a few extra days. I know that depending where you are and your personal situation, the holidays might still be weird. I’m hoping that the blog can be a bit of a holiday oasis. Writing/working on Blogmas is an escape for me, and hopefully it is for you on the other side. Officially: welcome to Blogmas 2021!

Blogmas 2021 Schedule
For the most part, the blog should be following the schedule down below. I might have to swap a few days here and there to line up with different dates/events, but this should cover it. For my regular posts- Culture, History, Book Bite, and Style File Friday- some are holiday themed, and some aren’t. (If you aren’t as into the holidays, there is still content for you! Especially the round-ups at the end of December)
Sunday- Culture
Monday- History
Tuesday- Holiday History Bite
Wednesday- Book Bite
Thursday- Holiday Movie Bite
Friday- Style File Friday
Saturday- Recipe

Older Blogmas Posts
If you are newer to the blog (or want to go back and read some of my older Blogmas posts), I will be sharing some of my favourite Blogmas posts from past years on Twitter and Facebook! And a few readers have asked about my Ornament of the Day posts; unfortunately, I won’t be doing them on the blog this year, but I will be sharing them on Instagram. You can also find all of the posts for the last couple of years here; I’ve been doing Blogmas since 2016, but that is a LOT of posts to read ha!

Blogmas… Away From the Blog…?
As I said above, I will be sharing older favourites on Twitter and Facebook. However, I also will have a lot of Blogmas content on Instagram. I’ve got a handful of Holiday History Bite Reels on Instagram that you can watch whenever you want! And starting 1 December, I will be sharing my daily Advent calendar treats, as well as an ornament each day on my Stories. I am excited to share my day to day traditions and celebrations with you, because they are a big part of my holidays!

An Historian’s Guide: 2,000 Years of Holiday History
If you haven’t already grabbed your copy, I am biased but recommend you read my holiday history guide! At just over 80 pages, it explains a lot of the holiday traditions that seem like they have existed forever, and the history behind him. It also has some of my favourite recipes, decorating tips and DIYs, and even book and movie recommendations!
From 24 November to 30 November 2021, it is on sale for 30% off in my Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/875854456/an-historians-christmas-a-guide-to-2000!
Tip: If you like to enter holiday quizzes and trivia games, this guide will be very helpful…
Once again, welcome to Blogmas 2021! And I am here to chat holiday traditions, history, recommendations, and more!
Cheers,
The Historian
