Blogger Fitness Challenge, Summer 2017

The main aspect of blogging that I am still here for is the community. So, when I sat down and thought about the fact that my blogging might be cutting down on my exercise/ fitness time, I figured that there may be other bloggers who feel the same way. I could have simply written this down in a notebook but I figured that I would share this if anyone else is interested!

 Making Blogging Connections

Everyone starts blogging for different reasons. Some start to be an influencer, some to make money, some to promote a service or a product, and some to update friends and family. I started (and continue) blogging for the community; I love meeting new people across the globe and getting a peek into what they do and how they think! Yes, you can always buy followers or sign up for services that use your account to like and follow other accounts, but I don’t personally understand the draw. Today, I’m going to be sharing my tips and advice on making blogging connections and widening your sphere!

Rant: Blogging Pet Peeves

I’m going to burn in blogger hell for this post, but it’s finally time I get it out there. My gripes with several blogging practices are certainly in the minority, as countless bloggers do all of these things- huge bloggers who will have more new followers in week than I will ever have in my life- but they turn me off of blogs pretty quickly. So. if you aren’t interested in hearing blogging gripes, feel free to take a day off and check back in tomorrow! If you are, read on…

Quick Question, 25 April 2017

This week’s Quick Question is all about what we do- blogging, to carry on from my post yesterday! I find that a lot of people don’t often discuss blogging. I’m not sure if it’s too meta or if people simply don’t like writing about blogging itself, but I do think it’s pretty interesting. This is a question that I hadn’t considered until a few days ago:

4 Things I Have Learned From Blogging

I’ve been blogging for over two years now. I know that I’m fairly small and insignificant in the world of blogging, but if nothing else I’ve learned a few things along the way. I don’t proclaim to be some sort of blogging guru- I certainly make mistakes regularly- but I hope that today’s post is helpful in looking at your own blog in some way! These are the big lessons that I have learned from blogging…

Weekend Coffee Share- 13 January 2017

It’s Friday the 13th and I am drinking Stormy Night Tea. (It’s got chocolate, coconut, and cinnamon- it’s delicious.) If you were sitting across from me, I would have to make sure that you warm and not freezing as Winnipeg has just received our third winter storm/blizzard since the beginning of December. I love winter but this is really starting to wear me down, physically and mentally. Last winter was exceptionally warm and mild, so it is making this winter feel even more harsh.

Blogs I Follow 2016 Roundup (Blogmas)

I still maintain that blogging is all about the community, at least for me! I don’t care about making a profit or becoming blog famous, but I do love “meeting” new bloggers. This year I have been fortunate to discover several new blogs that I look forward to every post to the point where I usually end up re-reading posts. I know that these bloggers are only going to get bigger and better in 2017, and they should certainly be proud of everything that they have accomplished in 2016. They are pretty inspiring to me, and I hope that you enjoy them!

Blogs I Follow, September 2016

As ever, I’m still finding new and interesting blogs to follow! I’m really finding that I am paying more attention to blogs that post more frequently- if I like what you are posting, I want to be able to read more of it! I have personally found that having a consistent posting schedules makes the world of difference; people know where and when they can find me, instead of hoping I will be around at some point. These blogs are all fairly well-established, and cover a good range of topics, including style, travel, baking, and history. Here we go with September’s picks!
