I’ve finally found a bestseller that has kept my attention….

The Woman in Cabin 10! I’m only about 15% of the way in, but so far it is doing a fantastic job of keeping my attention and leaving me wanting more. It’s been quite some time since a bestseller panned out for me, so this was a wonderful surprise!
What book surprised you?
Until tomorrow,

The Lying Game was my first Ruth Ware, and now I’m hooked!
Added to my TBR list!!
I need another book like I need a hole in the head, but this one looks good!!
We allllllll need more books ?
I recently finished The Nightingale and still think about it 12.7 million times a day.
I still need to read that!!
I loved hated it! It’s utterly compelling but very like a nightmare too with no one believing her etc.
I just finished it- overall, fantastic book but I found the ending too abrupt for my liking. It seemed quite rushed!
I am currently reading Elin Hildebrand’s latest The Perfect Couple. I read her latest every summer and it’s usually the perfect piece of beach fluff. All her novels are set on Nantucket, and while I enjoy them, the characters/plots were getting a bit repetitive, but this one is a total surprise as it’s a murder mystery, and opens with a dead body on the beach the morning of a fancy wedding, and now all the wedding members/guests are suspects. I was going to save it for the beach, but it’s so mesmerizing I can’t put it down!
I keep looking at Elin’s novels- they are always at the library, and sometimes I just want an easy read to keep me entertained. I do love a murder mystery!!!
Best book I read this summer…..so far!
I enjoyed that book too…..and her first In A Dark Dark Wood, but the best was her latest The Death of Mrs. Westaway, which just came out this summer. It was really slow going the first third of the book, to the point that I was ready to abandon it, (130 pages spent describing how poor and alone the protaganist was), but then it kept getting better and better….kind of a modern Gothic mystery.
I just finished The Woman in Cabin 10, and I found it very abrupt- it moved at a consistent pace, and then all of a sudden we were rocketing along and all was solved. Very odd pacing!
Then you might find The Death of Mrs. Westaway her latest even worse….as it meandered nowhere for the hundred or so pages. She might have a problem with pacing the plot, but sometimes I wonder why the editors don’t point these things out!
I really enjoyed this one!
