History in the Making

I’m Baaaaack

Hello readers!

I am BACK (as obviously implied by this post existing.) So, life got a little busy all of a sudden- September is deadline time at work (University life!), and Alpha Gam is pretty hectic right now.

I am now advising someone in my own chapter as well now! I am enjoying it, but I actually find that my remote advising is going smoother. Because our relationship is entirely messaging, I can message her and have an instant response- we can stay on top of things, and troubleshoot things as they are happening. For my team here, they prefer to meet in person, which is fine- but it slows things down and we have to find a time that we can actually all meet at. It is also for the adviser that is the busiest in the fall, as I now have to sit on Panhell and be at every recruitment event from start to finish. But, I am loving both positions, and I am enjoying being able to give back to my sisters.
Also, 85th planning is getting *very* intense now. I am ashamed to admit I had to put it aside for a small stretch, but I am trying to do whatever I possibly can right now. We have a lot of registrations coming in, which is fantastic to see. I am hoping that there are a few alumnae who might be able to start helping us, as this is getting to be incredibly overwhelming with only four of us planning (and only one with event experience of this magnitude). I am hoping to use the “down time” during recruitment event to tackle things for 85th- we shall see how this goes!
Also, dumb little things keep popping up- dear Jeep, SHUT UP. If your oil isn’t changed this second, you will make it just fine. I am trying to keep on track with my Christmas shopping schedule, meaning that I need to be thinking of good presents AND buying them. And I just really want to get back to baking and cooking 🙁 Still, the blog resuming will let me get back to normal!

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!
