Well, once again, we find ourselves at Christmas Day! A hectic season and often a busy day, at the end of what seems to be a never-ending year. But alas, from both myself and Agnes, I hope that you have a lovely day- whatever that looks like for you!
This year has had a lot of ups and downs for me. Work-wise, this was the hardest year in my decade plus career, but personally, I crossed off several bucket list items! (Looking out from the balcony at Buckingham Palace?? It cannot be topped.) I will hopefully be staying cosy and warm with Agnes to do a boatload of reading to finish up the year, starting this evening.

2025 was a much richer year for me because of your fabulous website. With you as the tour guide I get to explore both history and fashion. I so wanted to see the exhibits at the V & A this year. Since two of my sisters are in London as I write this, I sent them all the links you spoke about on your webiste. I could not attend the Marie Antoinette exhibit but Santa brought me the book published for the exhibit.
I am president of the Greater Seattle American Sewing Guild and will write an ariticle for our newsletter. Many of our members make period costumes and we all love information on historical sewing of garments. We also have a book club the focus of which is anything related to garments, history and sewing.
Keep up the great work and here’s to a wonderful 2026 for you.
