On 1 September 2018, An Historian About Town will be relaunching! I am excited for this next phase of the blog, and happy to finally share more details on the relaunch with everyone. While I will still have much of the same content that you know and love now, it will be more focused. Starting tomorrow, August 16th, I will be sharing some of my favourite posts that fit into my new direction- I have a lot of new readers in the last few months, so these will be new to a lot of people! So, without further adieu, the new direction of An Historian About Town…
Relaunch: What is My New Focus?
An Historian About Town is going to be here to help you refine the live that you have, so that you love it! So often we are sold the idea through tv, movies, magazines, blogs, and social media that we need to aspire to be more than ourselves- we have to buy that new wardrobe, we should be taking a million trips, we should perfect our make up to Youtube guru levels, and the list goes on and on. From my own experiences, I will help you polish and cultivate the areas of your life to make it the best it can be, while still being your life. This will look different for every single one of us, but there are little steps and changes we can all make to love the life we have rather than hope for a different life!
Relaunch: What Will I Be Writing On?
I am going to be focusing on three main areas to help you: style and wardrobe, personal development, and culture. You will still find trusted style tips, 5 star book recommendations, and cultural experiences that you know and love, but I will be focusing on how you can use them in your own life. I am the type of person who will read every book possible, scour reviews, try and test 5 different options before finally deciding on something, and I will be sharing that expertise with you, my lovely readers!
Relaunch: When Will Posts Go Up?
If you have followed me at all, you will know that I am a big fan of consistency- the blog will be here at the same times each week so that you know when you will find what kinds of posts. I will share a more in depth schedule on 1 September for the official relaunch, but you can expect posts on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! (You can also subscribe on the side bar to the right, or follow my Facebook page for new posts!)
Relaunch: Where Will the Old Posts Be?
The old posts will still be on my blog! All posts are going to be categorised into which of the new three categories they fit into, but they will also keep their old tags so that you can still find them via the search bar on the lefthand side. You might notice that posts are being updated- original content will be there for you, with new added info!
If you have any questions or thoughts about the relaunch, please do let me know in the comments, and stay tuned for my favourite, updated posts here!
Until tomorrow,
The Historian
