Snapshot- 25 April 2018

Many people will dismiss sororities and fraternities as being vapid and shallow, only meant for parties, but they are really so much more than that for most of us.

Alpha Gamma Delta Advisors

They are a support system, a home base, a sounding board, a kind thought, whatever you need it to be. These women have been there for me in the best and worst times of my life, and these last however many months have been no different. Although this week is a particularly difficult one, they have shown such love and support and are really getting me through it. We might be goofballs, but we are goofballs together.

Thank someone who has been there for you through the hard times today!

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

I think that because of the mindset of our culture now though, Greek life (at least frats) are going to go the way of the dodo. I wouldn’t say it was a good thing since it’s a big part of discovering yourself, but it seems to be the direction we’re heading in.
Be lucky you had a good experience. 🙂

As an advisor, I can’t say I disagree- from what I’ve seen from several organisations, I don’t think that they are imparting what our founders intended. I’m not sure what the answer is to that, either- if people don’t want to engage with the tradition and support, can you force them?

It really is!! They are in most every Canadian city but so unknown, and could offer so many opportunities in addition to the support!
