Snapshot- 21 February 2018

With a new puppy coming, I know that my life is going to be pretty hectic and busy for the next little while (and most likely a little sleep deprived for the first bit). So while I am busy getting ready for things, I’ve also been trying to enjoy a tiny bit of peace…

I’m trying to read as much as I can, and I’ve got to say, Stoned is a fantastic book! It’s hilarious and snarky and provides a broad context for the world’s love of and obsession with jewellery and gemstones. I wouldn’t use it as an academic source but for general interest it is perfect! I’m just disappointed in myself that I took longer to get started than I should have.

What book surprised you with how much you like it?

Until tomorrow,

My most surprising book was probably Girls in White Dresses. It was an eye opening for me and it’s on a recommended 20 books to read in your 20s list. I thought I was going to be drudging through it and turns out it was actually a great read that made me realize some real life lessons.

I *love*it when you grudgingly pick a book and end up falling in love with it!! It ends up meaning even more to you because of it 😍😍
