Happy Canada Day!! For anyone who doesn’t know, we became our own country on 1 July 1867, meaning that this is our 150th anniversary! There are Canada 150 signs everywhere and this is set to be the biggest Canada Day in my memory. I will be out at Gimli, MB for the day (the largest Icelandic settlement outside of Iceland for anyone curious) and will be posting my adventures throughout the day on Instagram and FB but I have been starting the celebrations a little early…

QuickQuestion

Poutine.jpeg

Poutine for lunch is the answer! French fries, gravy, and white cheddar cheese curds for possibly the most magical dish we have gifted the world with. Well, butter tarts are tied but poutine is a staple and I firmly believe that the world across should be enjoying this! So, from me (and the rest of Canada), Happy Canada 150!!

Have you ever tried poutine or anything else Canadian?

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

My brother has been to Vancouver several times with work and is always going on about this and how much he loves it! Now I know what it is!

Oh I have no idea. He hardly tells me anything about his trips 😂 but I’m kind of excited, he’s been told he can move out there with work so I’ll definitely go visit!
