Quick Question, 20 June 2017

Welcome back for another Quick Question! These are fun questions that let you get to know me and let me learn something about you, my wonderful reader. Feel free to respond in the comments here, or tweet your answer at me @anhistorianblog! Today’s question is all about friends…

I’m curious, what kind of friend “dates” do you go on? Whenever I hang out with my best friends, it is typically dinner out or at one of our homes. We’re all fairly chatty, so it completely works for us, but I’m looking for more ideas! This is roughly my last year in Winnipeg and I want to make sure that enjoy as much time with my friends as I can! Please send any and all suggestions my way!

What is your favourite memory with your best friend?

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

I don’t have many friends of my own since I moved to the UK but my boyfriend has a fairly big social circle and we do all sorts of activities together… A Friday evening trip to the seaside to eat fish and chips, Wednesday pub or bowling, day hikes… We even talked of going indoor rock-climbing soon!

Friend dates: We all have kids so friend dates break into two categories.
    With and without.
With: Park. They play, you chat. Zoo. They run ahead, you chat. Amusement park. They ride, you chat. Hikes. They run ahead or fall behind. You chat.
    without: absolutely anything. LOL
but mani/pedi or dinner and a movie at cinebarre (serves alcohol and real food) tend to happen a lot.

I’ve recently moved, so I have zero friends here. At home I met a group of friends pretty regularly at a local restaurant for Taco Tuesday. I miss that. Then you’ve got your coffee date, wine date, and hike date. That pretty much sums me up, tacos, caffeine, booze, and hiking. Hahahaha!

We just go to dinner at the same place all the time, which is the mall we used to go when we were in high school. There’s 5 of us and we’ve been friends since 10th grade, so my favorite is to compare how they were at 15 and how they are now, in their 20’s 🙂
