Style Saturday: 30 April 2016

Ahhhh, to finally be able to fill out my professional wardrobe! As I’ve said in the past, I’ve really been focusing on acquiring good quality clothing for my career that will last me years. I’ve been spending a great deal of time in RW & Co lately (as seen in last week’s Style Saturday), and I have two savings’ passes (Spend $100, Save $50- So, I will get $200 of clothes for $100). So, what have I found?

Crepe Blouse, RW & Co

Unfortunately, I can’t find this on the RW & Co website (similar linked), but I was able to snag this for under $25 dollars! Both the pale pink and the navy fit well into my wardrobe, it is really comfortable, and it looks fantastic on me. My favourite part is the bow detailing on the back- it adds that little extra something!

V-Neck Woven Cami, RW & Co

I purchased this in navy to wear with my pink cardigan from last week. Paired with my navy Modern Stretch leggings from RW & Co, it was PERFECT!! Very English. This cami feels quite soft, and it has a lining, which I appreciate in my cold office. I may pick it up in other colours, even though it is part of their line that never goes on sale. It’s that fantastic!

Woven Scarf, RW & Co

I had to link a different item again, but I have the striped version instead of the ombre! This is a light scarf for the summer that will still cut the wind and chill if you need it to. As currently evidenced by my recent purchases, I have a great deal of navy, so this works perfectly! It was also less than $13 on sale, so I couldn’t say no. Not sure why, but I can’t say no to scarves….

Do you have any tips for me on developing a professional wardrobe??

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

    Some lovely pieces!
I’m in a similar boat to you with trying to acquire “professional” pieces for work. I’ve been sticking to mostly classic pieces so I can somehow work them into my everyday wardrobe as well if I need to 🙂

Looks nice! Love the color of that blue top. What do you do for a living?
My tip is if you find something you like in store, check their prices online. I went shopping last week, found a few items I liked so I bought them. Later checked the website and the items were 30-50% off online only, free shipping. So I returned what I bought and bought them online instead.

Thank you! I work at a university, so I really try to make sure I don’t look like a student.
I am definitely one of those people that checks the website AND calls the store to see who has a better price (factoring in shipping). My regular shops are probably irritated by me but I *have* to check both!!
