Finally Filling Out My Stationary Collection!

As my post on Monday noted, I just picked up some new note cards! (Pun intended.) Note cards are a never ending thing for me, but there are a few more items that last a good deal longer that I have been on the hunt for for quite some time. Luckily for me, Chapters had a “Buy 2, Get the 3rd Free” sale, so I grabbed my opportunity when I could! What was I able to procure in my mini-haul??

Excellent question, my friends! Given my love of baking and cooking, I have been on the hunt for a recipe book. I have been considering the Kate Spade Recipe Book since about November, but I was never 100% sold on it. (I know! Me, not get the Kate Spade option?!? What is happening in the world??) It sells for $36 CAD at Chapters, it doesn’t allow you to add pages, and the print was okay, not great. So, I started looking at the Indigo brand ones, and what do you know, I found a beautiful smaller binder-style recipe book with peonies on the cover! (It makes me feel like an adult, not quite sure why- but hey! Let’s roll with it 🙂 ) It uses standard 4×6 cards, meaning there are many out there to choose from. I’m excited to start filling it with my favourite recipes! Extra bonus: An envelope in it to place clippings and papers!

What next? My “Be so good they can’t ignore you” sticky note set! I love this relaxing blue and green themed set, with three different sizes of notes and four different designs. The longer notes even have lines on them- perfect for when I need a short list affixed to something but don’t want to have write on it. The smaller squares are not lined but have plenty of space for a short note. The last are the four tab styles labelled “important,” “need it,” “remember,” and “love it”- all perfect for me and what I’m using these for! I plan on primarily using these at home, but I might buy another set for work 🙂

Last but certainly not least- my mousepad that doubles as a note pad! I don’t actually use a separate mouse at home; I find it cumbersome, and I have no problems using the track pad. (Don’t make me carry something extra!!) However, the fact that this is meant to be a mousepad means that it is of a wonderfully large size, and as such, will provide me a great deal of room for keeping notes/lists/ideas for the blog! It is split between “Notes” and “To Do List”; I’m actually wondering if they specifically made it for blogging. It’s another item from the peony collection, and it’s quite elegant!

What are your stationary must-haves, for work or for blogging?? Do you have anything you absolutely love and couldn’t live without??

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

For whatever reason, I just absolutely LOVE notepads that are supposed to be mousepads! There’s something very satisfying about them. And I really love the peonies!

I think it’s because it feels like there is no limit to the space 😀 And the peonies really are beautiful!
