David’s Tea Advent Calendar- The Review!

I made my way through the entire David’s Tea Advent Calendar, and it was an absolutely lovely way to countdown to Christmas! I’m going to go through each tea, save for the green teas as I am mildly allergic. Time to tea off!

Day 1- Sleigh Ride! This is a nice herbal tea that has apple, hibiscus, pineapple, papaya, and beetroot, among others! It reminds me a of a mulled wine or cider, very warming.
Day 2- Mango Madness! A white tea, I found this very sweet, almost like heated juice. Not sure that I would purchase this on it’s own.
Day 3- Orange Pekoe! This is a lovely orange pekoe, such a classic but an excellent blend.
Day 4- Sweet Almond Green! Green tea, didn’t try
Day 5- Banana Nut Bread! An herbal tea- I’m rather indifferent to teas with nuts. I know that this is a store favourite, but I’m rather meh on it.
Day 6- Glitter and Gold! This is still one of my favourite teas, the lemon and cloves are wonderful. The face that your tea is glittery makes it that much better!
Day 7- North African Mint! Green tea, didn’t try. Smelled wonderful, though!
Day 8- Cherry Blossom! A white tea, this was alright. It’s not my favourite, but I wouldn’t mind a cup here or there. (Odd, because I love cherry in tea.)
Day 9- Cinnamon Roiboos Chai! I love cinnamon, but I found this an overwhelming blend.
Day 10- Organic Nepal Black! This was another wonderful black blend; simple but great!
Day 11- Hot Chocolate! This is an absolutely delicious puer’h tea that I can’t recommend enough!! On it’s own or in a latte, just amaaaaazing.
Day 12- The Spice Is Right! Green tea, didn’t try
Day 13- Buddha’s Blend! A white tea, I found this far too fruity for my liking.
Day 14- Alpine Punch! An almond flavoured rooibos, my family has been drinking this years. Nice, but nothing new.
Day 15- Honey, I Dew! Another white tea that I found too fruity (there might be a theme…)
Day 16- Japanese Sencha! Green tea, didn’t try
Day 17- Mulled Wine! This is an oolong, it was okay but tasted like bubble gum rather than mulled wine to me.
Day 18- Forever Nuts! Another nutty herbal, not my favourite, either.
Day 19- Dark Chocolate Delight! This was a delicious black tea that I did not expect to like, given that I find dark chocolate bitter. I will definitely be tracking some of this down if possible!
Day 20- Moment of Zen! Green tea, didn’t try
Day 21- Cardamon French Toast! I had already purchased 50g, so I knew I enjoyed it. I wouldn’t drink it every day, but it’s a nice treat every week or so.
Day 22- Snow Day! An herbal with peppermint and chocolate??? SIGN ME UP. I will be buying as much as humanly possible.
Day 23- Gingerbread Cookies! This is a maple flavoured rooibos, I’m not a favour of maple at all.
Day 24- Santa’s Secret! Still my favourite tea of life, black tea with peppermint and vanilla!! I could drink this every single day.

Did you have an Advent Calendar?? Anything interesting inside??

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

I love fruity tea! I have some mango tea myself and I love drinking it, but I love very sweet things so it’s understandable that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea! 🙂

That sounds so good. I made a list of teas I want to try and it got a lot longer after this post!

This is a great idea. Something really different and a good way to sample new drinks.
