Blogs I Follow, Part VI

I’m back again with more of my favourite blogs to read!

1.Coffee & Twigs

I recently discovered Coffee and Twigs- another Canadian blog! Nowhere near the prairies, Sam and Kelly are in the almost-European city of Montreal. It is a pleasure to read along through their recipes, travels across Quebec and Canada, and the small things they notice (aka their Petites Délices)! Favourite posts: Petites Délices (11/30), because they share my love of David; A Holly Jolly Christmas Tag, because they share my love of Christmas! (They are now on my list of bloggers to meet…)

2. Windows Into History

Roger Pocock shares different moments from the past, from travel journals and other publications. Historians have branched out from only using written sources (thank you, “textual revolution”!), and as such, I think that this is a fantastic way to show people that history is still very much alive and interesting without being bogged down by reading! Favourite posts: Stamps That Won’t Stick; Edward VII and his turn ups.

3. So Dora

I’ve only just come across So Dora, but its a fun and light-hearted blog that certainly brightens up my day! Because it is a lifestyle blog, it covers fashion, beauty, DIY, cooking, rants, and even Blogmas. There is a little something for everyone! Favourite posts: Festive Nail Art; Advent Calendars!

4. The Royal Correspondent

I am mostly interested in the British Royal Family, but I still enjoy keeping up with the other royal families! It doesn’t seem like, but there are actually several different royal families between Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and it is wonderful to have all of their appearances and announcements in one spot. Favourite Posts: The Last Days of Mary, Queen of Scots, a documentary about Mary; TRHs The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Aldershot, for St Patrick’s Day.

5. The Londoner

London is one of my favourite cities, so I very much enjoy Rosie’s posts about London! I’m a regular middle class person, not your typical Sloanie, but it’s still an entertaining read. She also has posts on travel, recipes, and  style! Favourite posts: Day Date; Sketch for Tea.

Honourary Mention:

My Name Is Not Katie

KELLY’s blog is a light and interesting blog that also covers many different topics. (I hope you are noticing a them here: I like bloggers who branch out 🙂 ) I love her book recommendations; anyone who is a fan of Cecelia Ahern is a favourite person of mine. Books, clothes, blogging, goals, you name it she has it. Favourite posts: Recent Reads;  20 More Blog Post Ideas!

Please let me know if you are reading any of these blogs! What are your current favourites?? Any recommendations for me??

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

What a thing to wake up to! We honestly don’t even know what to say! Thank you so, so much for your kind words. It means so much that a blogger whose work we admire and enjoy reading so much feels the same! You’re the best 🙂

    Oh wow!
I don’t know what to say – I’m a bit overwhelmed right now, haha!
Thank you so much for the lovely words and compliments – this has certainly been the highlight of my entire month, if not my entire ‘blogging career’.
I am so so SO glad you enjoy reading my blog, because, as a blogger, that’s really all you could ask for… 😊

Ahh, I’m getting overly sentimental, anyways, thank you so much, again, and I hope I don’t disappoint you with the content I put out. 😊

    Have a lovley week!
