Style Saturday- 7 November 2015

This is a small haul for some, but a good-sized haul for me! On November 1, I headed to the mall for a few very specific things, and found others! Something a little different this week:

1. 24 Days of Tea– David’s Tea

I love tea- I love straight black teas, and I appreciate all sorts of tea, but I do have a soft spot for David’s. I know that it might not be the absolute best quality, and there are flavours added, but I still love it. I haven’t bought this Advent calendar is past years for a few reasons: I either own the large majority of the teas, or I just haven’t been able to grab one before they sold out. Well, I drank down most of my stash, and I made it to the mall just as the stores were opening. I was SET. I triumphantly put one in my basket and continued my day with a smile on my face. TWENTY FOUR KINDS OF TEA!!

2. Hot Chocolate and Cardamom French Toast– David’s Tea

I also grabbed these two teas from the Winter Collection. The Cardamom French Toast is a cozy black tea, and the Hot Chocolate is an amaaaazing puer’h. I would recommend having a Hot Chocolate latte- tastes like actual hot chocolate! (It’s probably the cocoa nibs.) I know that these aren’t style related, but I think that tea is  way that I keep myself healthy.

3. Holiday Blend Tea– Second Cup

I tried this tea last year in a fog, and it was simply wonderful. It includes cherry, orange, and cardomom, among other flavours. It is lovely on a cold morning when you need a bit of a jolt! Also, Second Cup is a fantastic Canadian company that you should check out if you can!

4. Fair Isle Slippers, Walmart

I found these at Walmart, and they are perfect. The faux fur is soft and warm, and the fair isle pattern is adorable. (Imagine my surprise when one of my favourite blogs posted about fair isle earlier this week! It’s definitely fate that I was meant to get them on Sunday.) They also have a hard rubber sole, meaning that you don’t slip and fall, which I very much appreciate as someone who has hardwood floors. You can also keep them on if you need to quickly dart into the garage! Worth the $12.95, without a doubt!

5. Olaf Slippers, Walmart

I don’t have much to say other than they are adorable, comfy, and warm. You wish you had these. The only way they could be better is if  they had Cogsworth slippers.

Thank you!! I cannot get enough of the holiday season, so I love to find different calendars to use. I know there are quite a few beauty ones, but they are typically $80+ CAD 😦 no bueno for budget-conscious shopper! Also, these slippers are making my weekend 🙂
