Happy Canada Day! Or, a random assortment of things

Happy Canada Day to all of my fellow Canadians! Lucky us have the day off today (for the most part) 🙂 I know quite a few people in the office were complaining that it doesn’t make for a long weekend, but I’m quite enjoying this mid-week break! In honour of Canada Day, here is probably my favourite outfit from the DoC:

What else is going on?

First of all, I’m heading to the dog park later today to hang out with two certain huskies! And Loki and Thorn met a new husky last week, so here’s hoping that she will be there as well and I can meet her, too. Nothing like some good old fashioned playtime at the dog park to brighten up anyone’s week!

I’m currently reading a book I downloaded for free from Kobo: All Over the Place. I’m only 20% in, but I am pleasantly surprised for a free book. It is your typical chick lit, which I am more than okay with. Livi escapes New Zealand after a slight reality tv disaster, and we catch up with her in London trying to meet someone new. Hi-jinks ensue (as per usual 🙂 )! I believe that this is also free on Kindle- if you use either platform, I would recommend downloading this and giving it a shot! I will post up a full review later.

My day will also comprise of colouring in my colouring book- see my introduction of it here! I’m finding it so incredibly relaxing to colour again, and given how detailed it is, you really feel a sense of accomplishment when you finish a picture. Up to this point, I have been sticking with the simpler ones- today is the day I go for a complete page picture!

Last night I went shopping with one of my Alpha Gam sisters- it was a needed break, and I had a ton of fun! (I also had Chinese food, which I have been killing for for close to three weeks now.) Plus, she is a power shopper like me, so I very much appreciate that. You can expect to see what I got on my Style Saturday post this week!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Canada Day, and a great Wednesday!

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!
