My first Music Monday

Not sure if I’ll do Music Monday every week, but potentially a couple of times a month! It’s probably a remnant of ballet, but I am always listening to music. It helps me relax, it helps me focus, it helps me work better. I’m also one of those people who finds a song/album/artist and listens to them on repeat for hours and hours and hours, and then thinks of that time period when I listen again later on. I decided to start this off with my favourite of all time:

Michael Bublé, or Bubbles as I prefer to call him. As possibly the most spoiled girl in the world, M took me to see Bubbles for my birthday in Dublin, in the ELEVENTH row. One of the best nights of my life, without a doubt. I love Bubbles for countless reasons but I’ll list some of them.

1. He has an absolutely fantastic mix of classic covers and originals.

One of my favourite covers of his is Frank Sinatra’s “I’ve Got the World on a String“, such an upbeat song! It was fantastic in person. “Close Your Eyes” is beautiful and calming, while After All” with Bryan Adams is a feel good song with BRYAN ADAMS.

2. His Christmas album is pretty much the greatest thing in the Universe. I fully admit to being one of those people who listen to Christmas music at any time, but I could literally listen to the entire album on repeat for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. See here and here and here, to start with.

3. He is Canadian, and makes up for our lack of entertainers, and is a hockey fan!

If you can, youtube some Bubbles and have yourself a lovely day!

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!
