Style Saturday, er Sunday- Guest Post

This week’s style post is a guest post from one of my best friends, Katelynne! My apologies for the late post, data connections at the lake are spotty. Without further ado, here is Katelynne’s style post:

When Jessica asked me about doing a guest post (forever ago), I immediately thought of Dorothy Perkins. We both love Dorothy Perkins and love their clothes. Unfortunately for Jessica, she is good friends with someone who takes their sweet, sweet time to do anything (that would be me). But I’m finally getting to this post, so that’s something at least???
Anyway, Dorothy Perkins is a clothing company that is UK-based. I’m not sure when Jessica discovered how wonderful they are, but I did while we were both living in Dublin. I currently own two dresses and some jewelry from Dorothy Perkins, but have tried on countless things from them. I talked myself out of many of these items – something for which my bank account is grateful.
They have mostly more professional clothes, while still carrying a fair selection of casual clothes. Jessica is a particular fan of their jeans. I, however, think that Dorothy Perkins particularly excels at dresses. Their dresses are exquisite. Just phenomenal. The quality is excellent and they have many cute dresses. And professional dresses, as well. I would say that they have a good mix of cute and professional dresses. (And some that are both!) The two dresses I own are a bit more professional and so I wear them to work – and always get compliments!

I should probably mention that the dresses that I own – and all the ones I’ve tried on – have been incredibly comfortable. Because why be cute and fashionable if you aren’t comfortable?
Dorothy Perkins carries sizes 2 – 18 (U.S. sizes) with some items available in tall and petite. I love when companies offer petite sizes, as they tend to fit me a bit better!
Dorothy Perkins also carries accessories and shoes. I haven’t tried their shoes or many of their accessories, but they look like they are good quality at a decent price. I have no personal experience, unfortunately. The only accessory I own from them is a lovely bird necklace. It was pretty cheap, but looks fairly expensive. It’s a very classy piece that I wear often.
It’s really no surprise that Jessica and I love Dorothy Perkins so much! An excellent company that has beautiful high-quality clothes for a good price? Absolutely delightful! Sign us up!
And a quick thank you to the lovely Jessica for being patient with me and for letting me take over her blog for a day! 🙂
