It’s time to seriously start thinking about the trip

I think it is about time I seriously start thinking about M and my’s trip to Ireland and England. Well, it’s not like I don’t think about it all of the time, but I need to start thinking of what I need to do! Packing shouldn’t be too difficult, but I have decided that I am going to order some packing cubes from amazon and give those a try. I am currently trying to decide between the Lug brand and Modovo. Lug is literally twice the price, but I have yet to be disappointed with the Lug brand. Plus, I don’t want them to crap out half way through the trip, or only even last for this trip. Do you have packing cubes? If you do, which brand? Do you like them?

The next item on my list is another pair of Wunder Under Crops from Lululemon. They are fantastic for travelling. When it is warm out, they are perfect and light! If it is cooler, wearing them with boots and longer socks are warm. Plus they wick away moisture, and thus are perfect for rainy climates. I just have to get around to actually going and getting them.

I also am going to grab a power charger for my phone and tablet. Airports can be dodgy for having available plugs, and planes essentially NEVER have them. When you are trying to get somewhere and meet up with someone, it is helpful to have your phone charged and ready to go. My battery is not what it used to be, coming up to being two years old, so this will be pretty useful.

My last piece of prep is working more with my camera. I had it while I lived in Ireland, it is a great little camera. It is a point-and-shoot- I know that it doesn’t have the range of options that manual cameras have, but it is lightweight and durable and isn’t easily damaged. I want to try out more settings before I go, to see if I can have more options this time around. I still have trouble balancing between taking too many photos and not enough.

I’m getting freakishly excited for this trip already, we are going to have an amazing trip!!!

Until tomorrow,
The Historian!

I am lucky that I lived there for a year, it takes a lot of uncertainty out of the mix, but there are always so many little things!
